The roaming general is always on their way to the next battlefield, as much as mercenary as they are a tactician.
Worldly Tactician (Ex)
At 2nd level, the roaming general gains a bonus to Knowledge (geography), Survival, and Profession (soldier) equal to 1 + 1 per 2 class levels (+2 at 2nd level).
At 7th level, the roaming general also gains a +1 bonus to the saving throw DCs of the Warleader sphere and of any combat sphere whose associated skill is Knowledge (geography), Survival, or Profession (soldier), increasing by an additional +1 at 12th and every 5 levels thereafter.
This alters decorum.
Roaming Specialty (Ex)
At 3rd level, instead of selecting a battlefield specialty, the roaming general’s battlefield specialty is always the terrain they are currently traveling through and fighting in. This battlefield specialty is “selected” whenever the roaming general enters a new terrain, and if a terrain would qualify as or count as multiple terrains (subject to GM discretion), the commander must immediately choose which battlefield specialty to gain.
While in a terrain that would qualify as or count as multiple terrains, the commander may spend 15 minutes planning and preparing to change their battlefield specialty to that other terrain.
At 9th level, the roaming general’s terrain skill bonus increases to be equal to their practitioner modifier + 1/2 the roaming general’s level.
At 15th level, the roaming general may expend their martial focus as a free action and choose a single battlefield specialty. The roaming general gains that battlefield specialty until the end of the encounter or 10 minutes, whichever comes first.
This alters battlefield specialty.
Special - Spheres of Guile: If you are using Spheres of Guile, the roaming general can choose to gain the blended training class feature instead of combat training, selecting combat or skill talents. The roaming general uses their practitioner modifier as their operative modifier.
A roaming general that chooses this option may select the Navigation sphere instead of the Warleader sphere from their battlefield operator class feature.
