Source: Polished Leadership

The long arm of the law is nothing without their deputies, because you can’t just buy good help these days.

Proficiencies

A sheriff receives a martial tradition, gaining proficiency with simple weapons, light armor, bucklers, and all firearms, in addition to the combat talents granted by their martial tradition.

This modifies proficiencies.

Combat Training (Ex)

A sheriff is considered an adept practitioner, gaining combat spheres and talents as appropriate.

This replaces the gunslinger’s bonus feats.

Special - Spheres of Guile: If using Spheres of Guile, the sheriff can choose to instead gain the blended training class feature, selecting combat or skill talents. The sheriff uses their practitioner modifier as their operative modifier.

Deputize (Ex)

At 1st level, the sheriff gains the Leadership sphere, selecting the (cohort) package. The sheriff cannot choose a drawback that trades away the ability to recruit a cohort. The sheriff gains an additional Leadership talent at 6th level and every 4 levels thereafter.

Beginning at 2nd level, the sheriff may now deputize their cohorts. A deputy receives proficiency with all firearms and gains the grit and deeds class features, treating their effective gunslinger level as 1/2 the sheriff’s level when determining which deeds they can access and the effects of those deeds.

This replaces nimble.

Lawman (Ex)

At 4th level, the sheriff gains a +3 circumstance bonus on Diplomacy and Intimidate checks made to deescalate violence, keep the peace, or otherwise convince others to follow the law. This bonus increases by +1 per 4 sheriff levels after 4th.

Special: If the sheriff is the lawful police or peacekeeper of a settlement, this bonus doubles within that settlement and a radius up to 1 mile per 2 sheriff levels (provided the area is still beholden to that settlement’s laws). The same applies if the sheriff is a lawful police or peacekeeper of a larger populace or country (subject to GM discretion).

Reliable Backup (Ex)

At 7th level, whenever the sheriff or one of their deputies regains a point of grit, each other deputy and the sheriff also regains a point of grit.

This replaces the targeting deed.
